With the launch of Parkmobile, students, visitors, and staff will be able to conduct their parking transactions by mobile phone on campus at Texas A&M University.
College Station, TX—March 31, 2016 – Parkmobile, LLC and Texas A&M Transportation Services announced today that Parkmobile will be the new mobile payments provider for the University.
The company’s mobile payments solution will allow students, visitors, and staff to use their mobile phones to pay for parking in multiple lots throughout the campus.
Customers can pay for parking with their smartphones using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for iPhone, Android, Windows, Amazon, and Blackberry phones.
“We are always looking for better and more efficient ways to serve the needs of our customers,” said Executive Director Peter Lange, Texas A&M Transportation Services.
“By bringing Parkmobile on board as our mobile payment provider, we hope customers will enjoy a more seamless and worry free parking experience on campus. ”
The University’s current mobile payments provider will no longer be in service, and the Parkmobile service can be used effective March 31, 2016.
Parkers should register in advance at www.parkmobile.com or download the mobile app in their phone’s app store.
Once registered, customers may use the mobile app, internet, or call a toll free number to pay for parking.
After setting up their account, they can immediately begin using the system with their registered mobile phone.
“We are so happy to partner with Texas A&M Transportation Services to offer our mobile payments solution to the students and staff on campus,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO of Parkmobile, LLC.
“This service makes paying for parking fast and simple; and with this generation quick to adopt new apps and technology,
we believe they will truly appreciate and enjoy the convenience of paying for parking from their smartphones.”
This convenient service also provides customers the ability to receive alerts when their meter time is about to expire,
extend their time remotely without returning to the meter, utilize credit cards in locations that do not offer manual credit card payments, as well as print and keep receipts for parking.
Additionally, enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with Parkmobile using their wireless handheld devices, so customers should not worry when the meter does not change.
Parkmobile’s mobile payment solution is an added payment option and is intended to complement existing parking payment options. All existing forms of payment are still valid for use.
