Centralized Bus Hub

At a Glance

Beginning Fall 2025, all Texas A&M AggieSpirit bus routes are now operating near the Memorial Student Center and along Old Main Drive. This project includes the addition of bus shelters and a bike/pedestrian path to facilitate connectivity between main and west campus. Bus routes have been adjusted to add more on-campus stops to off-campus routes, to better serve off-campus student housing and to prepare for upcoming roadway projects, including the Bush-Wellborn Crossing and Holleman Drive and Jones-Butler Road projects.

Project Details

Centralized Bus Hub

A centralized bus hub has been created near the MSC, with all buses operating on Lamar Street, Central Houston Street, and Old Main Drive.*

Bus routes are grouped by the three regions they service:

  1. South College Station off-campus routes
  2. College Station/Bryan off-campus routes
  3. On-campus routes

*Route 07 Airport operates from Joe Routt Blvd. near Kyle Field

This project reduces conflict points, simplifies transfers, and increases on-campus stops for off-campus routes, including additional service to the areas surrounding Reed Arena and the Ross Street/Engineering corridor.

Buses queue on Lamar Street

The new bus hub encircles Simpson Drill Field.

Improvements on Old Main Drive

Enhancements along Old Main Drive include bus shelters and a dedicated bike lane between the Academic Plaza and west campus.
